LAX Lounge Story

We are at LAX. I am flying first class, Duane is in coach. First class has a private waiting lounge with lots of great perks for first class only. Being creative I took Duane there and told the guard was a "Special Needs" senior citizen and was his care taker and needed to watch at all times.. The guard let Duane in..... I am not sure if he believed me or was just impressed with my story... :)

Off to the airport..... Next stop London!!!

I went on a warm up ride today.... My BMW really can go anywhere..... :)

My to due list is checked off... Time to go!!!

Definitely not my wife!!

I am very lucky to be married to the woman I am married to! She is very supportive of me taking off on these adventures while she stays home and runs the business... :)

My riding partner.... 3 days and counting!

This my riding partner for this adventure, Duane Leib. We travel well together. We have ridden as far north as Alaska and the Top of the World Highway, and as far south as Mexico City! We figured it was time for a new continent....
IT is now time to do it... the bikes are in London, England, all the forms and paperwork have been filed, and we are ready to do it! This Wednesday, July 31st we are off! Look for lots of photos, stories, and a few videos...

Six days and counting!!

Here is the route we will ride the first few days. From London to Dover, ferry to Calais and then south through the French country side to Monaco..

This photo is unrelated to motorcycle touring but if you like motorcycles you might like this one. I built this one of motorcycle about 5 years ago. It is powered by a Honda CBX motor which is a 1 liter six cylinder DOHC motor with over 115BHP in a British road racing frame built by Spondon.  The amazing paint was done by Roberto at Blue Cat Paint shop in San Jose.....
